Fuglevandhalen come for the names you recognize, stay for all the ones that you've never heard of that are way better than they needed to be. there's a really great array of punk rock on display here as a narrative time capsule. I expected this to sound like a lot of honkey sounding Black Flag, but a lot of it reminds me more of Devo. Montana may be sparsely populated, but I think that just left a fuck ton of room for big ideas.

Without Warning is an overview, compiling over the course of 24 tracks more than a decade’s worth of previously unknown music that was inspired by several distinct musical developments—New Wave reaching the American masses; Punk morphing into Hardcore; Postpunk emerging from the formal break with both Rock and Punk; and the post-1985 shift toward a more commercially-viable notion of Indie Rock.

2xLP includes 16-page booklet with foreword by Kirk LeClaire and an essay by Tom Kipp as well as rare photos and band info. Includes album download card and a link for a related documentary.
